The truth is a strange thing. Cemented in fact and yet subjectively shifting from person to person. We find ourselves actively pursuing it just as much as we try to suppress it. We formulate lies, as an act of survival, that fit our own narratives and repeat them until they mutate and we believe them as truth. Nonetheless, the truth always seems to seep through and find its way to the surface, despite our attempts to forget.
